Description

Ox-eye is a sunflower-like plant that grows in a variety of native habitats---prairies, savannas, woodlands, forests, as well as along streams and lakeshores, or in brushy openings. It grows in moist to dry conditions, on light, sandy soil, loam, or somewhat heavy, silty soils such as on floodplains. It is tolerant of shade if not too crowded.
